About The Programme

Our scholarships and grants are available to students pursuing full-time undergraduate tertiary programmes at a local accredited institution.

Funding from scholarships and grants can only be used towards tuition, on-campus accommodation and educational supplies. Disbursement of awards are paid directly to institutions and approved suppliers.

Scholarships

Scholarships are offered to first-year students and are valued up to JM$300,000. Scholarships are renewable for each year of study once the recipients maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 and commit 8 hours of community service per semester.

To qualify for a scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be a first-year University entrant between the ages of 18 - 24 years and a Jamaican Citizen.
  • Be registered as a full time student with confirmation via a letter of acceptance from an accredited local institution.
  • Not be the holder of another scholarship or award of value that covers the applicant’s full tuition.
  • Not have already attained an undergraduate or graduate degree.
  • Show history of community spirit such as membership in an established youth club, involvement in a service club and voluntary community service or school involvement.
  • Have demonstrated financial need (household income).

Grants

Grants are offered at any year of study and are valued up to JM$150,000. This award is one-off and not renewable.

To qualify for a grant, applicants must:

  • Be a Jamaican Citizen and not older than thirty (30) years old at the time of application.
  • Be registered as a full time student with confirmation via a letter of acceptance from an accredited local institution.
  • Not be the holder of another scholarship or award of value that covers the applicant’s tuition.
  • Not have already attained an undergraduate or graduate degree.
  • Have demonstrated financial need (household income).
  • Show history of community spirit such as membership in an established youth club, involvement in a service club and voluntary community service or school involvement.
